Horse For Sale - to good home only! - Shasta
SHASTA is a sweet bay mare, about 15.2 hands, pretty & friendly. Beautiful and with perfect ground manners.
Great trail horse! Willing & energetic, with good "stop" and nice not-too-slow walk.
Car-safe & kid-safe. Human-oriented, loves petting and treats, loves scratches. Likes baths on a hot day. Happy to be stalled.
BEST PART! UNBELIEVEABLY CLEAN! Keeps her stall spic-n-span: I have her on in/out, and she doesn't poop in her stall! SWEET!
Sound, great feet and conformation. Not "gaited" - walk, trot, canter are her gaits. $900 or best reasonable offer
Sweet, fairly calm & pretty happy to follow another horse on the trails or lead. Would be a good 4-H project horse.
Ridden on roads, trails, and paddock/pasture/yard here. Snaffle bit or bitless bridle, direct-rein (english) at this point.
Reasonable with other horses, seems to be "lead mare"
Loads & hauls fine, dewormed, good teeth.
Good with dogs & other farm animals
Currently barefoot, good hooves - no splits or cracks. Has been shod in the past. Picks up feet well for cleaning
regarding vices: kind. doesn't weave or crib. Not head-shy, doesn't kick, bite, buck, or rear that I've seen or experienced.
Please note: she is kept at a home with no indoor arena, so a place to test-ride her is subject to our Ohio weather.
since so many ask: re-homing, she is a rescue from the kill auction. Many saved in the past, and more rescues will be saved in the future!
I've only had Shasta since August 06, so things I don't know are:
- if she's ever been shown
- what training she's had
- if she's ever been driven (my guess is YES)
- how many owners she has had
- if she's ever had foals (my guess is YES)
flexible! scratchin' her itch -------------- and ---- Sidesaddle anyone?
