We have been training and racing our dogs since 1987. The past several years have been frustrating and difficult (a spinal fusion and elbow surgery for the dog driver, a family death resulting in numerous new responsibilities, lousy sled dog training weather in Ohio). For these and other reasons we have decided to sell the kennel.

All dogs capable of running on a team – be it a professional team or recreational team – will be sold. We prefer to sell groups of dogs who have run together but will sell some in pairs or individually. Leaders will only be sold once the majority of the team dogs are gone unless they go as part of a team (4 or more dogs).

I was unable to train or race during the 2001-2002 season because I was recovering from back surgery. I intended to race this season (2002-2003) and began training in the fall of 2002. Here in northern Ohio fall is generally not that cold – this year it was not only warm but exceptionally wet as well. The dogs have been trained although not as consistently as I would prefer. December was terrible –too much rain, portions of my trail flooded (crucial parts that could not be bypassed), mud, mud and more mud. Cold weather finally arrived and training was more consistent. Then the dog truck adventure began. We knew there would be trouble since the truck sat for over a year. As of today (Jan 27 2003) it still is awaiting installation of the new drive shaft.

In light of the fact that the dogs have not raced since spring 2001 I have tried to set prices accordingly. The dogs in my kennel come from two primary sources – Terri Killam and Mike and Patti Morris. To view the primary bloodlines represented in the kennel, click here.
